Is is an invitation to slow down and look at innovation from a different angle, one shaped by real experiences, reflection, and everyday choices.

In this talk, I share my personal journey through volunteering and leadership within TECHO. TECHO is a non-profit organization that works across Latin America alongside communities living in poverty, bringing together volunteers, companies, and local actors to improve housing conditions and strengthen communities. It’s a space where people from very different worlds meet, work together, and learn from each other.

Being part of TECHO changed the way I see my career, my purpose, and my impact. Looking beyond the obvious picture, beyond what is comfortable or familiar, helped me grow not only as a professional, but also as a person. It challenged my assumptions and made me more aware of how my decisions affect others.

This session is not about solutions or frameworks. It’s about what we learn when we step outside our bubble, when we choose to get involved, and when we allow those experiences to shape how we lead, decide, and innovate.

Through personal stories, I reflect on how small actions, when taken with intention, can create lasting change. And I invite you to think about your own role, as a professional, as part of an organization, and as a member of a community, and how your everyday decisions can help build something bigger and create real impact.
